Bacchanalia - Singapore Restaurant of the Year 2015

Bacchanalia has been voted as Singapore Restaurant of the Year 2015. Behind the success, there is the executive chef of the restaurant, Chef Ivan Brehm, who was once working for Thomas Keller, Heston Blumenthal, and Claude Bosi. Their new title has made me curious and decided to try their food.

Revolver Espresso - Seminyak Bali

The fake candid shot of me in front of the coffeeshop <3
I visited this place twice when I was in Bali. Revolver Espresso is a boutique coffee house located in Seminyak, Bali. They actually have two places, and I went to the smaller shop. When I say small, it's really small and cute. The place is quite obvious since it's just at the roadside.

Food Review : El Mero Mero - Singapore

Hey Yolks! How was your Valentine's day? I'm sure you guys enjoy it with your loved ones. :D Mine was quite random and full of unplanned activities, though. And I was supposed to post something either on one day before Valentine or on the day itself, but unfortunately there was some technical issues going on behind the scene.

Well, this time I'm going to review El Mero Mero, a restaurant which carries quite decent Mexican Food. It is located at Chijmes, City Hall, the place is rather nice with minimalistic touch. The interior has the full combination of stones and wood material.

The Best Greek Food in Town: Blu Kouzina - Singapore

Hello, hello! Another week, another adventure! Are you up for Greek food? I know I do! I was craving for it, so I decided to go to this restaurant called Blu Kouzina. It is located at the Bukit Timah area, not so walkable from the MRT station, but you can take the bus to get there. Although it is quite far from my house, but my crave of Greek food was strong enough to get me there (kidding, I was taking the taxi :p). This is actually my second time eating at this restaurant, from what I know, this place has been in Singapore for a couple of years already and it has been one of the most favorite Greek restaurant in Singapore.

The interior is traditional, warm and homey, with blue and white color theme, trying to get that Santorini feel. The decoration is also very detailed and full of efforts, they really try to make people feel like they are in Greece. It is a 2 storey restaurant, and when I was there, it was packed during lunch time. The owner (a Caucasian, Greek) was really helpful and friendly, he really treats his customers as if they are his own family. The first thing they served us was a small bowl of bread loaf which had been sliced for our convenience. There are two ways to eat the bread, either we dip it in olive oil or spread the salted butter on top. Well, we did both and it was great, the bread was fresh and the olive oil tasted rich and intense.

Brunch Review: Common Man Coffee Roasters - Singapore

My friend from Jakarta was in town and she insisted me to have brunch with her, not dinner, not lunch, BRUNCH. While I'm myself quite a fan of brunch, for me the relationship between girls and brunch is still a mystery, it's intense yet cheerful, and it's a love hate (the calories D:).

Then, my boyfriend and I decided to take her to Common Man Coffee Roasters, which is owned by the not-so-common Harry Grover, the man behind Forty Hands, and The Spa Esprit Group. The place is nicely located at 22 Martin Road, nearby Boat Quay. Despite the look from the outside, the interior is rather humble, and I have to say that the seats available there, almost could not keep up with the crowds who kept on coming in. Alright, with no further ado, let's start the review!

GastroSmiths Bistro & Bakery - Singapore

Hey, Yolks! My first post will be about GastroSmiths Bistro and Bakery. This little place is located at the quiet end of Tan Quee Lan Street, the street is just behind Bugis Junction building. The venue is not out of the box, I just like how it's hidden from the crowd and eventhough I was seated outside, I can enjoy my lunch without being interrupted by too many passing by strangers.
